The professionals from PPGEA own skills in arthropod pest management as a result of attending the basics and applied disciplines of Entomology. The instruction gained in the PPGEA has allowed them to develop activities in various public and private sectors, in special, teaching and research in local, regional, and national institutions and companies.

The 59 professionals with doctor degree in Agricultural Entomology by PPGEA up to 2016, 81.3% are in the Northeast, 6.78% in the Central-West, 8.47% in the South and Southeast, and 3.45% in the North of Brazil. In the Northeast, 59.5% are in Pernambuco and 41.5% in the other states within this region. Currently, they are fixed by state as follow: AC (2), AL (5), BA (3), CE (1), ES (2), GO (2), MA (3), MG (3), MT (1), PB (1), PE (22), PI (3), PR (1), RO (1), and SE (1).

 

Institutions hosting these entomologists are  IFGO, IFAC, UFOB, IFPB, IFPE, IFMA, UFRPE, IFMA, FAFIRI, UFES, UFC, IFAL, UEMA, CESMAC, IFBA, UESPI, UNIR, IBGM, and UFPE as professors and researchers; UFRPE, UFAL, Embrapa, UFV, and UFPI as pos-doc collaborators; and Syngenta, IPA, Embrapa, Spray Drop, and SECTMA with activities in extension, research, and development of technologies.
